R.J. O'Brien's Institutional Group consists of experienced individuals who have earned the respect of colleagues and competitors alike. Listed below are brief biographies of the key members of our team.

Mitch Ito
  • Mitch Ito, too, was a Senior Vice President at Salomon Smith Barney, Inc., where he started the institutional sales group in Chicago with Wallace in 1988. Ito began at Salomon Brothers, Inc. in 1985 as a Fixed Income Salesman, before moving to derivative sales in 1987. He has been a member of the CBOT since 1988.
  • Ito, a native of San Francisco, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He also earned a law degree from Northwestern University’s School of Law and a master’s degree in Finance and MIS at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He has achieved the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst, and is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago.

Pat Nolan
  • Pat Nolan has over 18 years of trade Floor experience. In his many roles at RJO, Pat has served as Managing Director CME Institutional meat desk and Manager of overnight trade reconciliation.
